Our process is designed to take the stress out of preparing a prenuptial agreement. With years of experience and a focus on clarity and efficiency, we guide you through each step with professionalism and care.
Step 1 – Complete the Intake Questionnaire
We start by gathering all the information we need to draft your prenup. This includes details about your finances, your fiancé(e)’s finances, prior marriages, children, and — most importantly — what the two of you have agreed to.
To keep things efficient, we’ve created a comprehensive intake questionnaire. You can fill it out at your own pace and send it back by email, or, if you prefer, we’ll go through it with you over the phone.
Don’t worry if you’re unsure about any of the questions — just provide what you can. We’ll review everything carefully, clarify anything that’s unclear, and discuss the details with you directly. You’re also welcome to add notes or context if something doesn’t quite fit the form.
Step 2 – We Draft Your Prenup
After reviewing your questionnaire, we’ll schedule a call to discuss your responses in more detail. During that conversation, we’ll:
- Ask any follow-up questions
- Explain how the law applies to your situation
- Help you understand the effect of a prenup on your legal rights and obligations
Once we understand your goals and instructions, we’ll begin drafting your agreement — typically within 2 business days. When it’s ready, we’ll send it to you by email along with a cover letter that walks you through the key terms in plain English.
If you have questions or want to make changes, we’ll address everything promptly. Our goal is to ensure you’re completely comfortable before moving forward.
Step 3 – Your Partner Reviews the Agreement
Once you’re satisfied with the draft, it’s time for your fiancé(e) to review it. You can send it directly to them, or to their lawyer.
We strongly recommend that your partner obtain independent legal advice (ILA). This protects the integrity of the agreement and greatly reduces the risk of it being challenged later on. It ensures that your partner fully understands their rights and obligations — and that the agreement is entered into freely, with full understanding on both sides.
If any revisions are needed after your partner’s review, we’ll make them promptly and issue the final version along with signing instructions.
We’re With You Every Step of the Way
Our packages include unlimited email and phone support, and we typically respond the same business day. Whether you have a quick question or need to revisit part of the agreement, we’re here to help, with clarity, professionalism, and a commitment to getting it right.
